I'm happy to say I've been busy in the studio. Below are two of my latest paintings, Windswept 1 and 2, part of my Coming Home series. For me, they feel like an early autumn day when the sun's shining strong and wind takes off in a swirl, carrying leaves and twigs and anything else light with it. As an intuitive painter, I never know where a painting will end up. That's what's so exciting! You can see a bit of my process in the slide shows above.

Your art is amazing, Julia! I love seeing the process, it’s almost another artistic expression in itself! These two pieces remind me of kaleidoscope images, where you hold the scope up to the light, turn the end-piece around and let all the fragments of colored glass fall into a myriad of changing patterns - delightful and deep, like a dive into a pool of leaves.

These are wonderful, Julia!
The colors are delightful.
I especially love Windswept 2 with it's cheerful sense of playful and joyous motion .
Sharing your process is generous. It's quite interesting to witness the progression from simple line drawing to completed piece.
