Let the dance begin! Light and airy and full of movement, many of these paintings are a result of the human mind's tendency to find recognizable images where they aren't explicit — like finding faces in the spaces between branches, or in the pattern of a rug, for example. They begin with a textured white underlayer, and then I highlight the texture to bring out the images from my imagination. The last three paintings are more about what can be revealed when paint is pulled back. They dance in a different way!
