Let the dance begin! Light and airy and full of movement, many of these paintings are a result of the human mind's tendency to find recognizable images where they aren't explicit — like finding faces in the spaces between branches, or in the pattern of a rug, for example. Some begin with a textured white underlayer, and then I highlight the texture to bring out the images from my imagination. Others are more about what can be revealed when paint is pulled back from a colorful underlayer. They dance in a different way!
